Thanks for the post from Kirk Wood
I’m a professional chef and most people would be very surprised to know that I would say the best cooking tool any chef could have is wireless internet! I know that sounds insane, but there’s something to be said for being able to take your computer anywhere in the house or even anywhere around town and activate your Internet connection. It’s nice to be able to pull out a recipe or a technique while I’m standing at the counter in the middle of some prep work. I’m so happy now that I’ve become more technical as it has vastly improved my cooking techniques as well as the food that comes out of my kitchen. I’m really proud to say that I know how to make certain complicated dishes like coq au vin, beef Wellington, or even baked Alaska this and it’s all because I stayed connected while in the kitchen. In my opinion, education is something that never stops, even once you get out of school, and that’s what I feel like I’m doing every time I’m in the kitchen.
