Now that she no longer has her own show, Oprah Winfrey really stepped it up at her network, OWN. When it first started on direct TV, it was mostly reruns of her shows as well as the shows she started or produced like Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz. Now that she is no longer under contract with another network, I guess she can finally start appearing in some original programming of her own to air. I love watching her specials. It’s like seeing the best of her shows. The specials are longer and more in depth and I feel like she can really get more information about and from the people she is interviewing! Just this week she reunited the cast of Roots for an interview and it was amazing to see what everyone has been up to as well as hear them reminisce about their experience 35 years ago. I guess it’s appropriate to say Oprah went back to her “Roots” to find new success. Keep up the good work, Oprah!
